How do I participate?

The Icelandic Youth Environmental Association is a non governmental organisation with the primary objective of giving young people a platform to positively influence the way society interacts with nature. The association’s goals include promoting and advocating for  holistic environmental governance, sustainable development, nature conservation and a circular economy in accordance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. 

 

** There is no cost to join the club! **

1. Sign your name to the member list.

The first step is to sign up with your name, email and phone number. It has no cost. You will be on the member list. The member list is not public.

2. Join the facebook group.  

The association has a closed group only for members. There discussions take place. Members are encouraged to start and participate in discussions.

3. Check out our committees.

Already signed up, checked the group and you want more?

UU has a lot of committees and in each of them there are special discussions and plans for advocacy made on the topic they are named after.

4. Attend our events, everyone is welcome.

Members are encouraged to attend our meetings and events that we will advertise on our webpage and social media. Members are also encouraged to contact the board if they have ideas for events or projects. Like said before the association aims to be a platform for young people to positively influence the way society interacts with nature.
